IGT – “the intriguing”

Granaio is the place where ancient peoples stored one of their most valuable crops: the wheat to make their bread. We chose this name because this wine is as precious to us now as wheat was in ancient times.

Il Granaio is a wine that is produced only during the best vintages. The wine is the result of a careful selection of Merlot grapes harvested by hand.

It has a warm and intensive red color. It is wide and deep on the nose with inviting fragrances of mature fruit like sour cherries and blackberries, which blends with light balsamic nuances. During the tasting it starts smooth and elegant, revealing to the palate its complexity and structure, supported by mature and velvety tannins. The finish of the wine has emanating notes of smoke, which are the characteristics of a slow aging in French oak barriques.
